Ingredients
  

  • cups fresh serrano peppers stems removed and halved
  • ¾ cup white vinegar plus ⅛ cup 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • ¼ cup garlic cloves about 3 cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Step 1:

  • Wash the serrano peppers thoroughly. Remove the stems and cut the peppers in half. Peel the garlic cloves and set them aside.

Step 2:

  • Add the serrano peppers, white vinegar, garlic, and salt to a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

Step 3:

  • Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peppers soften and the garlic becomes tender. Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.

Step 4:

  • Transfer everything to a blender and blend until completely smooth. For a thinner sauce, strain through a fine mesh sieve. Pour into a clean glass jar or bottle and refrigerate before serving.
