- 35 g ¼ cup + 1½ tsp all-purpose flour
- 25 g ≈ ⅛ cup granulated sugar
- 1 g ¼ tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt to taste
- 28 g 2 tbsp / ≈ ⅛ cup melted butter
- 45 ml 3 tbsp / ≈ 3/16 cup milk
- 2.5 ml ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 4 g 1 tsp colorful sprinkles
Start by taking a microwave-safe mug and adding the flour, sugar, baking powder, and a small pinch of salt. Stir everything together really well so the dry ingredients are evenly mixed and there are no lumps.
Next, pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix slowly until the batter becomes smooth and you don’t see any dry flour left at the bottom of the mug.
Now add the sprinkles and gently fold them into the batter. Just a few stirs are enough so they spread evenly without losing their color.
Place the mug in the microwave and cook it for about 60 to 90 seconds. Keep an eye on it around 60 seconds; it should rise and look set but still soft in the center. Avoid overcooking or it will turn dry.
Finally, let it sit for about a minute to cool slightly. Then enjoy it straight from the mug while it’s warm, soft, and freshly made.
Note: Microwave times may vary depending on wattage; start with 1 minute and check for doneness. Use a larger mug to avoid overflow while cooking. Sprinkles can be optional or replaced with chocolate chips.
