0.9cupButtersoftened, plus extra for greasing tins
3Large eggs
0.25cup¼ cup Milk
1tablespoonVanilla extract
Instructions
Heat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and get your cake tins ready by greasing them with butter and lightly dusting with flour to stop sticking.
Place softened butter and caster sugar in a bowl and beat them together until the mixture becomes pale, fluffy, and creamy.
Crack in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until the batter is smooth.
Add the self-raising flour and gently fold it into the mixture so the batter stays light and airy. Pour in the milk and carefully mix until everything is well combined and smooth, but don’t overwork it.
Divide the batter into the prepared tins, level the surface, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes. Once golden and cooked through, remove from the oven and let it cool on a rack before slicing.
